Laramie, Wyo. (Oct. 26, 2015) — ESPN Networks, in connection with the Mountain West Conference, announced on Monday that Wyoming’s home football game versus Colorado State on Saturday, Nov. 7 will be televised live on ESPN3. The kick time was also announced as 1 p.m., M.T.
Wyoming fans will also be able to see the Cowboy Basketball team in its season opener later that day in a game versus Fort Lewis College. The basketball game will tip off at 7 p.m. from Wyoming’s Arena-Auditorium.
This year’s “Border War” game between Wyoming and Colorado State will be the 107th meeting in the series between the two rivals. The Cowboys and Rams have played each other in three different centuries, dating back to the first meeting in 1899. The 2015 meeting will be the 116th anniversary of that first meeting. Since 1968, the two teams have battled for the “Bronze Boot” traveling trophy. This year will be the 48th meeting in the “Bronze Boot” portion of the series. Wyoming leads in the battle for the Bronze Boot 24-23. Since the end of World War II, the two rivals have played every year. This season will mark the 70th consecutive season the Cowboys and Rams have played. Wyoming leads in that portion of the series 39-30-0. Colorado State leads the overall series 57-44-5.
