WHP And WHPA Support Cheyenne Central High School Student Fighting Cancer

OCTOBER 13 2015 — One of the many goals of the Wyoming Highway Patrol Association (WHPA) is to direct economic efforts towards charitable organizations and individuals who meet a select criteria. When WHP Trooper Kyle McKay learned of Cheyenne Central High School student Ben Lucas’ battle against cancer, he knew he and the association could show their support to Ben.

After doing some research, Trooper McKay and the entire Cheyenne Trooper Division were able to set up a monetary WHPA donation for Ben to use as he sees fit as he stays strong in his fight with cancer.  At last Friday’s (Oct. 9th) halftime of the Sheridan vs. Central football game, Troopers from the Cheyenne Division were able to recognize Ben and presented him with a check to help assist through this difficult time.

Please join us in support of Ben and his family as he continues his fight!
