Two Rocks Springs Men Arrested, One Being Sought for Break-In and Assault

(ROCK SPRINGS, OCTOBER 26, 2015) — On Saturday, October 24th, 2015 at approximately 3:42 a.m. police were dispatched to 239 “K” Street in reference to an assault that just occurred. Upon arrival, officers noticed the front door to one of the apartments had been kicked in. Police spoke to four individuals who had been in the apartment and learned that three males had illegally entered the residence and assaulted one of the occupants. The resident received minor injuries as a result of the assault.

Two of the suspects were later identified as 25-year-old Deon C. Hollis and 23-year-old Darius D. Gardner, both of Rock Springs.

The two were subsequently arrested for Forceful Entry into an Occupied Structure; under Wyoming State Statute, a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than ten years, a fine of not more than $10,000 or both.

A third suspect is being sought. Anyone with information concerning this investigation is encouraged to contact the Rock Springs Police Department.  Callers may remain anonymous.
