(Rock Springs, Wyo. – October 9, 2015) — The search for a missing Superior man continued on Friday.
Darrell Douglas Sowder, 59, was last seen at his Superior home around 12:30 PM on October 2nd. Family members told investigating deputies they feared Sowder might harm himself.
Deputies and Superior townspeople have been searching for Sowder on a daily basis. All vehicles he had access to have been accounted for. County detectives are examining his desktop computer and cell phone, but so far have found nothing of significance.
Friday’s search efforts, which included use of a tracking dog from Natrona County, focused on an area generally southwest of the Sowder home on Horse Thief Lane.
Captain Jason Love of the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office is asking that Superior residents who have sheds, outbuildings, campers, or other shelters or structures in and around the community check them for any sign of Sowder.
Darrell Sowder is a white male, 6’0″ tall, weight about 200 pounds, with greying hair and blue eyes. When last seen he was wearing a red polo-style shirt and blue jeans.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to be on the lookout for Sowder. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office or other local law enforcement agency.
