Rifle Stolen During Vehicle Burglary in Rock Springs

ROCK SPRINGS — On September 29th, 2015 around 2:00 a.m. Rock Springs Police were dispatched to 822 Pilot Butte Avenue in response to a complaint of an auto burglary.   Stephen Potter of Rock Springs reported after he finished work at the Astro Lounge he determined a rifle he had in the back seat of his vehicle had been stolen.  There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle.

The stolen rifle was determined to be a Savage .270 caliber rifle with a black synthetic stock.
