Public Asked for Help with Deer Poaching near Mountain View

MOUNTAIN VIEW– Mountain View Game Warden Allen Deru is looking for information about a mule deer poached in hunt area 132.

“I investigated a two-point deer shot and left by a hunter on Sunday, October 4, in hunt area 132, which is a three-point or better area,” Deru said. “I believe the deer was killed sometime on the morning of October 4. The deer was taken off of County Road 269, or what the local residents call the Poverty Flats Road. The deer had been hit in the vitals with one shot and there were foot tracks in the mud up the hill to where the deer was laying. The person walked right up to the deer and then turned around and left the scene.”
