(OCTOBER 16, 2015) — On Friday, October 16, 2015 at approximately 12:00 p.m., officers of the Rock Springs Police Department were dispatched to a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck on Blair near 3rd Avenue West.
During the course of the investigation it was determined that Keith E. Jantz, age 55 of Rock Springs had been traveling inbound (northeast) on Blair Avenue at the intersection with 3rd Avenue West on an orange Kawasaki motorcycle.
A red truck was traveling outbound on Blair and turned left towards 3rd Avenue West. The motorcycle subsequently crashed into the truck being driven by a 16 year-old male.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County where his injuries are being evaluated. The juvenile male was issued a citation for making an improper left turn.
Police remind the public that all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
