(OCTOBER 30,2015) — U.S. Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced today that Laramie resident Timothy Michael Wells has been convicted in federal court. A jury found Wells guilty of sexual exploitation of a child, attempted coercion and enticement, incest, and abusive sexual contact after a three-day jury trial in the United States District Court in Cheyenne. Wells is scheduled to be sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on January 12, 2016.
The investigation in this case was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Wyoming Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Thomas A. Szott and James C. Anderson.
