ROCK SPRINGS — Holy Spirit Catholic School is holding their Fall Rummage sale this weekend from October 1st through the 3rd. The school has been hosting a spring and fall rummage sale for well over 30 years in the Rock Springs community. All proceeds from the rummage sale will go to support the Holy Spirit Catholic School which houses grades Pre-K through 6th grade.
On Thursday, the sale hosted an early-bird special. With a $5 dollar door fee, Individuals were able to shop the rummage sale which opened for two hours. Today, the sale is open from 8a.m. to 8p.m. with no door fee required. Saturday will host a bag sale from 8a.m. to 1 p.m. where shoppers can fill a 50-gallon bag for $10 dollars. Those interested in donating can do so until 8 p.m. on Friday.
The rummage sale is hosted two times a year in both the Fall and Spring and hosts a wide variety of items that include clothes, toys, books, kitchen supplies and much more. Mark St. Marie, Coordinator of the Fall and Spring Rummage Sales explains, “We’ve got everything from clothes to a kitchen sink. You name it I’ve seen it here.”
A lot of volunteer time and work gets put into the setup and operations of the sale. St. Marie explains, “The rummage sale is run by the parents of the school who volunteer their time to set up and sell the merchandise.” St. Marie also points out that he is thankful for the kind generosity of the community and with such a large amount of donations there is plenty for everyone. St. Marie invites the public to come down and find a treasure.
