CHEYENNE (October 15, 2015) – The Governor’s Food Safety Council will meet October 22, 2015 in Cheyenne in the Wyoming Department of Agriculture (WDA) main conference room.
The meeting will start at 1:00 p.m. and is scheduled to end at 3:30 p.m. During the meeting, the Governor’s Food Safety Council will elect a new Secretary and discuss travel vouchers, updating the Wyoming Food Safety Rule, involvement of the council in food safety issues, vacancies on the Council, and any other business.
The meeting is open to the public and the public is invited to attend.
The Governor’s Food Safety Council is comprised of eleven members and meets no less than one time each year. The council is made up of one employee from the WDA, one employee from the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH), one member who is an employee of the laboratory of the WDA or WDH, one member from a local health department, four members representing the food industry, two members with no connections to the food industry and one ex officio nonvoting member who is an employee of the University of Wyoming cooperative extension service.
