A Rock Springs Man and a Green River Man have been Arrested in Separate Drug Investigations

(OCTOBER 30, 2015) — Sheriff Mike Lowell reports the arrest of Michael Wayne Sweets, age 58, of Rock Springs and John Adam Kotusky, age 25, of Green River.
On Tuesday, detectives assigned to the Sheriff’s Narcotics and Arrest Group (SNAAG), along with detectives from Rock Springs Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit and Special Agents from Wyoming’s Division of Criminal Investigation, responded to a residence in the Blairtown neighborhood of Rock Springs in an attempt to locate a known wanted person.  Sweets was found at the residence and was arrested with methamphetamine and marijuana in his possession.

Sweets is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana and remains in custody at Sweetwater County Detention Center.
On Wednesday, SNAAG Detectives, along with officers and detectives of Green River Police Department and members of the Sweetwater County Joint Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, served a drug-related search warrant at a residence in Green River.  Kotusky was found at the residence and detectives recovered methamphetamine, psilocybin and numerous items of drug-related paraphernalia including used syringes during the search.

Kotusky is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of psilocybin and remains in custody at Sweetwater County Detention Center.
Sheriff Lowell credits a cooperative effort by Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office, Rock Springs Police Department, Green River Police Department and Wyoming’s Division of Criminal Investigation in effecting these arrests, and expressed his thanks for the community’s support.

Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office reminds citizens that all persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
