Rock Springs Male Arrested on Forgery Charges

(ROCK SPRINGS, OCTOBER 28, 2015) — According to Chief Dwane Pacheco, officers of the Rock Springs Police Department responded to a report of forgery and check fraud at Western Wyoming Community College (WWCC) which resulted in the arrest of one male.

On October 27th, 2015 at approximately 8:45 a.m., officers of the Rock Springs Police Department were dispatched to a report of forgery and check fraud at WWCC at 2500 College Drive. Upon arrival, officers met with Administrative Services personnel who reported that suspicious checks had been cashed recently.

Investigation revealed that 26-year-old Shawn L. Haselman of Rock Springs had been allegedly forging checks and cashing them at WWCC. Haselman was subsequently arrested on three counts of Felony Forgery, Possession of Forged Writing, and Fraud by Check under Wyoming State Statute and transported to the Sweetwater County Detention Center.
