Several Agencies Assist in Massive Casper Fire

CASPER — On October 11th, just before 2:00 p.m., WHP Troopers responded to assist the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office with a massive fire that began in Casper spreading through Evansville and  into parts of Converse County. Troopers responded to assist Deputies in evacuating hundreds of residents. Wyoming State Troopers responded from Casper, Buffalo, Kaycee, Douglas, Wheatland, Guernsey, and Lusk to assist.

Troopers remain on scene assisting the Sheriff’s Office and fire crews. Wyoming State Highway 256 east of Casper is expected to remain closed throughout the day and no one will be allowed access to the area. All inquires reference to the fire, evacuations and road closures should be made to the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office.
